Who are PSI?
PSI 2011 Ltd was founded in 1994 as a sole trading business offering a professional inspection and testing service to statutory engineering plant and equipment throughout the country. The company steadily built up, and started employing sub contractors until 2001, when it took on its first full time employed engineer. The business continued to grow and now employ more engineers up and down the UK to cover it’s clients’ statutory examination requirements, as well as several office staff to handle any administrative work.
During this time John Jones, PSI Managing Director/Head Engineer, together with a handful of other independent inspection companies founded INITA (Independent National Inspection and Testing Association) as an independent trading body. INITA has grown and now has a membership of over 30 independent inspection companies who regularly meet to discuss relevant industry and trade issues and requirements.
Over the years both INITA and PSI have developed a close working relationship with other like minded trade bodies including SAFED and the HSE, to the point where both organisations are now requested to input into the review and creation of various regulations and legislation associated with the statutory examination industry.
As a company, PSI offers friendly advice and updates on your obligations and duties under the various current regulations and codes of practice. Wherever possible, it will service your examination requirements anywhere in the country in a timely and concise manner.
